Construction seen through women’s eyes
Moving House
6 March 2021
For me, “home” means the place where I always find love, peace, and warmth.
As a child, I shaped my future, sketching my family, career, dream home, editing every detail every day. Today, most people chase after material things and fame, moving their homes very often. I believe that individual housing should be a stable point, a point of refuge.
As a future journalist, I dreamed of a house as complex as possible but with only one floor. A white house with a black roof, on the outside with transparent sliding doors and large glass windows, with a terrace where you can have breakfast and a large garden with lawn, arranging a suitable and safe playground for children, the interior including white furniture a light grey floor. A large living room, where I can spend my evenings with my family watching a movie or doing fun activities. The living room, bathroom, and kitchen should be on the ground floor and two giant rooms in the basement. One I can use to work on professional reports and materials, and the other for my passion: music. Upstairs, three bedrooms, a bathroom and a room full of paintings, with only a desk inside. These paintings animate every attempt of life, being my oasis of peace, composing songs and reading books. At the base of each step that leads to the floor, to be written a quote that gives me hope and confidence in my strength, in every corner of the house being a part of my soul that emanates security and love.
